NTI Basics

October 13, 2025
We will once again implement the Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) plan for the 2025-2026 school year. This plan received state approval earlier this year and allows the district to provide remote learning when schools must close due to unforeseen circumstances. These NTI days are counted as regular school days and do not need to be made up later.

Students in grades Preschool -1 will receive learning packets, and teachers in these grades will be available on NTI days to answer questions and will offer scheduled online options to interact with students. Students in grades 2-12 will complete their assignments online.

Teachers will discuss expectations and provide guidance on navigating NTI days. Attendance will be taken on these days. If you have any concerns about online access, please reach out to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.

In the event of a school cancellation that requires an NTI day, we will notify you through ParentSquare messages, local TV stations, our social media platforms, and our website.

Schools will be sending out their own communications in regards to what an NTI day looks like in their buildings. For any questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher or principal.
