Boyle County Schools Pivots Back to YELLOW Status

Pivot to Yellow

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases for students and staff, there will be no school on Tuesday, Jan. 18. This allows students and staff a four-day weekend away from the schools, in an effort for them to get well and for the buildings to be thoroughly cleaned.

Furthermore, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 19, all schools will pivot back to YELLOW status on the Communicable Illness Intervention Plan. This means that universal masking will be required for all students and staff while indoors. Similarly, masks will be required for visitors to the school buildings, which includes spectators to athletic and performance events.

Administrators will continue to review school data and case counts. Schools will remain in yellow status and universal masking will be in place until further notice.
